Backing Samphire Neuroscience
and outlier opportunities
Catch the latest news from Inventure and our portfolio. But first, an update on what we’re seeing in the market with Inventure’s Kevin Lösch.
AI hasn’t just added volume to the market, it’s blown out the speakers.
For founders, that means there’s never been a better time to build, and with our talent density there has never been a more exciting time to be in the Nordics & Baltics. AI is arguably the biggest platform shift since cloud computing, and it has reset almost everything. So you should not only pay attention, but also keep your seatbelt fastened.
Here in the Nordics, we see a run towards the next fast scaling AI application. Local and international investors are chasing the next Lovable – for all the right reasons – which in turns has implications on fundamental parameters like competition and valuations.
In times like these, sustainable alpha still comes from a simple place: by backing the outlier individuals and teams early. That means doubling down on the very best founders, sometimes even when the opportunity sits “off-thesis.” As Howard Marks reminds us, excess returns accrue to those who are non consensus and right.
Investing is not about confirming what is true today, it’s about spotting what might be consensus tomorrow and arriving before the crowd. The playbook is clear: we must find the few founders who can benefit the many, and get behind them early.

Why we invested in Samphire Neuroscience
Samphire Neuroscience will change the lives of millions of women. A few weeks ago, they launched a headband that stimulates areas of the brain linked to mood and pain, offering relief to women who suffer from chronic conditions like PMS and PMDD - all without hormones or side effects.
It’s amazing. The product and overlooked market captured our attention, but as early-stage investors, we invest in people. And it’s never been more clear that this is the team that will take this area of healthcare into the future.
